The food at the Dolphin is perfect pub food, with warm and friendly service. Very good value and a great wine list. It’s a big bar, so can feel a little empty , but the restaurant is a good size and very welcoming. Lovely garden to use when it’s not raining!

This proved to be a great lunch stop on a circular walk from Winchester. I had Fish fingers in a large crunchy roll with coleslaw and salad. And a zero % lager. The staff were very friendly. There was a pleasant cosy feel to the place. I’d go back.

We stayed here just for one night as we had a trip to Paulton Park (Peppa Pig world) planned for the next day. 2 adults and 2 children 7 & 9. I made a last minute adjustment to the booking as my mum decided to come with us on the day. The GM Ben was super helpful and accommodating. When we arrived check in was easy and smooth. They have a play area in the garden so the kids played while we grabbed a drink before a delicious meal. We got taken to what can only be described as the perfect family room! A double bed and bathroom then up on the mezzanine floor was two single beds for the children. The beds were super comfy and soft! My children are not the easiest at bed time but they both went to sleep quickly and commented how soft the beds are. Rooms were warm and inviting, very clean and nice toiletries on offer in the bathroom so no need to bring your own. Tea and coffee making facilities also provided. We had some complimentary porridge pots and croissants as we were in a rush to get to Paulton Park in the morning so had no time for breakfast. Paulton park is 18 mins away from the pub so perfect if your making a trip there. All the staff that we encountered were really lovely and helpful. From Maddy and Amalie, Ben the GM and the chefs. They were all lovely! We will 100% come back and definitely recommend to other families.

Perfect for a family stay and dog friendly too. Comfy beds, mattresses were new. Friendly pub that does great pub grub and it has a garden with a small play area. Staff couldn’t do enough to help. Set in a beautiful village, bathroom could do with a refurb which the manager said will be done this Autumn.

Friday night at the Dolphin is always excellent, and we wanted to see the changes…we weren’t disappointed as our favourite, Bethany, is still there and as excellent as ever , and we got to meet Ben for the first time. The food was really lovely and service brilliant. So lucky to have this at the end of our road !!…..

Just returned from yet another great meal at the Dolphin at Hursley. Tried the new menu which this time was good old bangers & mash & my partner had the burger. Followed by a very delicious crème br?lée & also the rhubarb & ginger crumble… delicious…. Loved the new drinks menu which included new cocktails.. I recommend the spiced mojito. Well done to all the team for another enjoyable evening.

We had an excellent dinner at the Dolphin this week. Very friendly and welcoming staff, and food was superb. I had the sirloin steak which came seared, but then I finished it the way I wanted on a hot stone at the table. My wife had the feather blade beef which was rich and delicious. The liquid puddings were fun too

Fantastic overnight stay in a pretty comfortable room with plentiful free parking and a small play park for kids. Breakfast was yummy and so was the rest of the menu, dog friendly with fantastic customer service, a really great find! I will be back

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans cet établissement. La chambre était confortable et agréable mis à part le matelas qui mériterait d être remplacé. Le petit déjeuner est un peu rudimentaire. Malgré cela le personnel est très accueillant et disponible. Les d?ners sont très bons et faits maison. Nous reviendrons s?rement si le matelas est changé ??

Booked both flats for my daughters hen do. They are conveniently situated near Winchester. The accommodation had 2 double beds in 1 flat & in other 1 double & 2 singles. Both were clean and welcoming, providing towels & tea coffee making facilities. We all congregated in 1 flat after our evening meal in The Dolphin pub for partying! A great stay & would recommend
